Description
Collectors, here is a great disc, Edison Diamond Disc 52288, circa fall 1928. Two songs performed by Vaughn De Leath ("The Radio Girl") and her Buddies: "Happy Go Lucky Lane" and "After My Laughter Came Tears". Two fine arrangements and performances, "Laughter" has Hawaiian guitar and Miss De Leath weeping, very nice listens! "Happy" was released as Blue Amberol cylinder #5568. The record plays well with fairly limited surface noise. There's an edge chip on the "Laughter" side, and the two labels are glued tight to the record. Hard to find disc issued less than a year before the end of Diamond Disc land, go for it!
