Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest: Very Good Minus (Quite A Sharp and clear sound, very slight crackle throughout the tracks, slight background noise in between tracks, no skips, no jumps, no sticking, no serious loud pops or clicks. There are some light pops & clicks throughout but they are quiet and hardly noticeable. There is also some slight hiss throughout all of the first 3 tracks on side 2. VG minus sound quality (Playtested 5th February 2007)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Very Good Minus (Looks very well played on both sides, there are quite a number of light superficial surface marks covering the record and there are at least 4 or 5 light feelable scratches on the record and these affect playback slightly by causing some light pops and clicks throughout (as mentioned above), the records surface also has some significant groovewear on the first three tracks on side 2 which causes some slight hiss throughout the first three songs (as mentioned above), quite a lot of spindle marks on the label which indicate numerous plays, the labels are quite clean with no major wear around the spindle holes, no major tears to the label either)

Album Cover Grade: Very Good Minus (no major creasing to the front and rear corners, no spine splits and no top edge splits but there is a slight bottom edge split of about 1cm, there is very little rubbing/wear to the spine/edges though, no rips or tears in the sleeve apart from a slight 2cm tear on the bottom rear flipback but you can hardly tell, there is some rubbing/wear to the corners, there is also noticeable ringwear on the front and back, more noticeable on the front though, there is also some laminate lifting/peeling on the front cover paralell to the sleeve opening edge, there are no pen marks/writing on the sleeve though, there is also some significant discolouration and staining on the unlaminated rear sleeve which covers a 15cm x 3 cm piece of the top rear sleeve which looks like damp)

MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
