Description
Eddie Cochran “Singin To My Baby” RARE DG MONO LRP 3061 PERU PRESSING 1957 LP!
Condition: Vinyl - G++ / VG-- Cover - VG-
Description:
Unique one here - this is the original 1957 issue of Eddie Cochran’s rockabilly classic “Singin’ To My Baby” with a Peruvian disc + spanish labels. The jacket appears to be the regular US version, however the DG mono disc has labels in Spanish and reads “Industria Peruana” at the bottom. While the disc shows cosmetic age / wear, it plays and sounds GORGEOUS, pretty phenomenal, actually, sounds like a VG++ copy, no loud pops / clicks or even real noticeable background noise. Honestly, I sort of can’t believe it, but this sounds as good if not better than the US press —— who knew Peru had their pressings so well handled? The jacket is VG-…it shows some general age and wear but overall is in lovely shape with all the seams intact, etc. Unique item - not the US first issue DG mono but certainly has to be as if not more rare!
BIDDERS - PLEASE READ THE BELOW
I grade my LPs VERY conservatively and accurately under a bright light. A description of the grading scale is below:
M: MINT - perfect. vinyl is pristine / cover is flawless and/or sealed
M- : just under mint. a very, very slight amount of wear on the cover or inaudible wear on the vinyl (surface wear from age, generally) but is otherwise flawless
VG+: vinyl / cover shows signs minor signs age or wear that are more or less undistinct / inaudible.
VG: vinyl / cover shows some visible wear / age but is overall in very good shape. pops and clicks may be ever so slightly noticeable, but don't effect play or overall listening experience.
VG-: vinyl / cover shows some relatively apparent age but is in overall good shape and still a fine copy to own / play.
G+: vinyl shows some heavy wear but overall sounds decent. cover has some flaws or shows much age
G: vinyl is in pretty rough shape visibly but plays ok. cover shows a lot of age or has some major splits or tears.
G-: vinyl looks / sounds pretty rough. cover has major condition issues such as water damage, large rips, etc
*a double "+" or "-" indicates that the condition is just above or below the neighboring grade
