Eddie Cochran -Singin' To My Baby London HA-U 2093 First Issue UK LP
This is getting to be such a rarity. I have seen a number of these auctioned but they are always the Liberty UK reissue from the sixties. This is the first label issue. One of the most sought-after rock n’ roll albums issued on London.
The flip-backs are the early ones with the semi-circular cutout.
Condition of record
Surface marks and some pops/scratches, but on my Project RPM4 set up with quite a low tracking weight, it sounds good and the defects don’t particularly intrude on the listening experience. Does not stick or jump. Record is thick and quite inflexible, a genuine copy.
The sleeve is very nice, great cover art! Better print and finish than any of the reissues. Clean and rich chocolate brown front cover, laminated and with only a couple of creases at the front (not the corners) and the opening edge is a bit tired, a tiny (1mm) edging of black ink seems to have been used to improve the edge, but as you will see from the pictures this does not detract. The rear sleeve is also in good condition other than mild discolouration.
