Description

Up for auction is HAND SIGNED Near Mint original Stereo LP by Ed Thigpen titled "Out of the Storm." Great Jazz album in exceptional condition. It is on the Verve lable V6-8663.  Ed Thigpen was Oscar Peterson's drummer from 1959 to 1965. Also featured on this LP are Kenny Burrell, Clark Terry, Herbie Hancock & Ron Carter. The vinyl is near mint and the cover is VG+ with a sticker and a 4" crease (lower right corner). 

The LP cover is signed "To John, Thanks for your support. Love & Peace - Dig! Ed Thigpen"

Sad to say that on January 13 of this year, Ed Thigpen passed away. 

The songs include:

Les Nuages; Le Soldat; The Virgin in My Neighborhood; Contessa Esterhazy; Rain; The Athletes; Le Concert; Mr. Noll; Portrait of My Mother; The Killers; Lonesome Return; and Waltzing With My Shadow.
