This auction is for Ebony Records 78rpm #1005 "Pinetops Boogie" (Ureal Montgomery Adaptation) /"Arkansas Blues" (Vocal Southbound Special) by Little Brother Montgomery and His Bogalusa Boys (on the Pinetops Boogie side: with Brother George Blunt calling the licks). Ebony was a small Chicago label. This record is unplayed store stock that I bought about 15 years ago, from the stock of a record store that had been open since the 1940s. This is an original pressing from the 1950s. I would grade this as Excellent or better - I doubt it has ever been played and the vinyl is shiny. I'll describe any minor problems: LABEL: on the "Arkansas Blues" side , black mark next to the spindle hole, probably a printing error. Record: light dust on part of the Pinetops side, some light dirt on the Arkansas side, some light scuffs, a very light imperfection in the wax across the record on the Arkansas side. (I haven't tried to clean it) - there are a few very light, small scuff marks that are probably from taking it out of the sleeve. A HARD-TO-FIND SMALL CHICAGO LABEL! Postage is $4.00.
