Description
Rare Mono copy of East Of Eden’s 2nd album, dating from 1969, presented here in fairly good but very well-played condition overall. This is very much a starter copy until a better one comes along. Matrix numbers are ARL-8668-1B/ARL-8689-1B, making it a first pressing.
Single front-laminated sleeve – VG- condition. Creasing and handling marks visible on the front, plus a small tape repair to the top left corner. The spine is fully readable. The back of the cover is rather grubby with ringwear and there is a small 1cm tear at the opening edge.
Labels – VG+ Quite a lot of spindlewear and some age spots, but otherwise very clean.
Original Decca company inner sleeve – VG Age spots but intact and still usable.
Record – Visually VG- Mainly light marks, scuffs and nicks, but there is a noticeable 2cm scratch on Side 1 (see photo).
Playback – Side 1: Good+ Rather distorted in places, particularly on Track 1, plus a few clicks here and there. There is also a possible jump before Track 4. Rather crackly throughout.
Side 2: VG- Slight warp apparent during the first couple of tracks – does not affect play (on my turntable anyway). Generally fairly good audio, with slight crackle and just a hint of distortion at times.
I grade all records strictly using the 'Record Collector' guide.
