Description

This item is an early E. Berliner Gramophone one-sided record. Song Title is "The Charlatan March" Played by Sousa's Band. Etched on face of record is a name "Henry Higgins Sousa's Band". Patent dates are May 15, 1888, Feb'y 19, 1895- Oct 29, 1896. Other patents applied for. Number on record is 36Z. Record plays fine at 78 RPM. I discoverd recently that in those days there wasn't one standard speed for records so the actual speed should be about 71 RPM.
