Description
Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted.
Grading is based on visual inspection.
Album ships in a 2 MIL poly cover sleeve and a soft poly inner sleeve.
I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.
New and vintage vinyl is hard to grade strictly using eBay’s system because the record and the cover are two different components. Therefore, I grade a record new and mint if it is opened but has never been played. I use the eBay grading category to describe the cover condition.
- This is a First Pressing of an Asylum Records Promotional copy of the original 1976 release.
- This is a very rare copy. A thousand or so Promotional copies were originally pressed. Thirty-Two million copies have sold to date.
- This is a Santa Maria pressing.
- The scuffs are only on one track and the rest of the playing surfaces are clean.
- The matrix runouts are etched with: "IS IT SIX O'CLOCK YET?" and "V.O.L. IS FIVE PIECE LIVE".
- The gold foil Promo stamp is top left back cover and "Not For Sale" is printed on the label.
- The gatefold cover has tight seams, a stiff spine and shows some corner wear.
- Includes the original 12"x 36" B&W Sepia tone group photo. It has never been displayed.
- The board stock inner sleeve has credits on both sides. I have included a soft poly inner sleeve.
- This is a one-owner that the Seller got new from Asylum Records in 1976. It has been in storage for 48 years.
