Being released on the 8th of November 1971, this magical album went straight into the number one slot in the UK charts, where it stayed for an amazing 62 weeks!!
It was received very well by both the critics and fans alike, on both sides of the Atlantic and in my opinion still stands the test of time to this day.

PORKY/PECKO etched into the run-out grooves...A nod to the Beatles' engineer here: George Peckham.
With the A3/B3 endings showing it is the closest recording to the original Master Tapes and boy can you tell with the sublime audio reproduction! Also has the earliest starred-out incorrect stamping of the B // end matrix on side A..!!..I'll bet you cannot find this pressing in this condition anywhere!
The Vinyl:

Flat as the day she was born and carries just one or two incredibly light and wispy marks from simple storage in the inner sleeve...These are completely insignificant, with nothing at all to affect playback....I have just played her all the way through-up loud and I wasn't dissapointed :)..Wonderful clean and clear breaks with clear highs and deep lows.
Stairway was SOoooo clear it added new depths to my undserstanding of the arrangements...INCREDIBLE is too small a word!
The fade-out at the end of track 3, side 1, leading into Stairway was perfectly audible and brought a big grin to my face :)
With the gorgeously split stereo on When The Levee Breaks....GLORIOUS.
The singular point I can make,in the way of any sort of detraction, was a very faint and very gentle revolutionary shh right at the start of track 3, side 1 for just around 3 revolutions...which really is utterly insignificant!

The Labels:

THE BEST I HAVE SEEN IN A VERY LONG TIME.
RARE MIIS-PRINTED LABELS....Instead of carrying Misty Mountain Hop, there is a typo with Misty Mountain TOP...Not many of these come up for sale-I have only seen a handful of these as they were noticed and quickly removed and rectified...Strangley this was later corrected on the Red/Plum labels, but the re-pressing green labels carried the same error again, just for a short period too.
I can just see a small handful of very light traces of spindle marks-which are only visible when angled towards the light and really looking for them.
The labels are in magnificent condition and are worthy of framing-after playing all the way though at full blast, of course!


The Sleeve:

 This is a wonderful cover for this album...When you open the cover, to view the inner gatefold, the black is still black and the white-still white!
YOU REALLY COULD FRAME THIS BEAUTY.
Solid corners, with just VERY gentle rubbing as well as a SUPER STRONG spine, which has just gentle rubbing.

The Inner:

 It is the ORIGINAL 'Symbol' paper inner, with the lyrics to Stairway To Heaven on the back and the track listing of the album to the front.
WITHOUT any catalogue number, which was later introduced for the re-pressings. It is also on the darker 'blotting paper' kind of material which was only used for the very 1st pressings.
There is a small split of 5cm to the bottom seam but she remains strong and clean elswhere- which is why I have given her a EX- grading.
 100% ORIGINAL.
Certainly done her job in keeping the record in "TOP" condition!

ALL IN ALL THIS IS A CLASSIC ALBUM WITH SIMPLY SUPERB AUDIO REPRODUCTION.
ON THE ICONIC RED/PLUM LABEL.
