Description
About This Record. This is a really weird and super rare LP that does not sound what you think it might sound like from looking at the cover slicks. This is an LP by Gary Baldwin and the Mass Murder entitled “If I could only play Piano” released on Airhole Records A.H. 00001. I don’t think there was ever another Airhole Records as this was a private pressing with cover slicks on a black cover; the cover slicks have NOT been taped or pasted onto the cover. This LP was sponsored by KKUP 915 FM in Cupertino, California, near where I live. It was released in 1979 and I have never seen another copy, and I do not know anybody that has another copy. The labels read “Gary Baldwin and the Wombat Suicide “If I could Only Play Piano” The cover slick reads Gary Baldwin and Mass Murder.
The first song on Side One sounds like nice laid back middle east music with flutes (maybe some birds chirping in the background), and your heart rate goes down, and then the other songs break out with much sonic blasting, sounding like Goldenrod (who backed Darius) and some fuzz kinda like Mysic Siva. Side Two also begins with an Erkin Koray type mystic song, and then lots of Eno that sounds like Ambient Music #3 and then guitar and stuff. And the last song is about 10 minutes of silence on Side Two. Very little background noise on the last ten minute song although there is not much to listen to unless you are doing Yoga.
No reserve, good luck.
PLEASE CHECK my Feedback which will show you my grading, Cover/Vinyl, of other LPs I have recently sold and what the lucky people who are bought them think of them and our experience. The photos of the labels or cover list the songs and any possible details about the labels.
I offer full refund including shipping both ways (for USA and foreign buyers in case for some wildly strange reason you might be unhappy with this purchase. This comes cleaned on my KL Audio Record Cleaning Machine in a new rice paper equivalent paper inner sleeve.
Cover Condition: Excellent (EX) Very Plain BLACK cover Has some light chips in spine and a small price tag removal mark. No seam or spine splits. Please see my photos! I did not take them for fun and frolic.
Vinyl Condition: Excellent Plus (EX+) Vinyl. TOP Keeper Copy of this weird LP from Cupertino California. I think Apple took over their recording space in Cupertino :)
Labels. Excellent Plus (EX+) Please see photos of all labels.
Inserts: This comes with the original plain white (now very brown) paper inner sleeve, but . . . No worries, this comes cleaned in a new rice-paper type sleeve (see below).
Packaging. I place the vinyl in a new sleeve after cleaning it on my KL Audio Ultrasonic Cleaning Machine from the cover, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool records transition to your record collection. I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack with at least two insert stiffeners, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and/or “Fragile” or something like that to help facilitate a safe passage.
Shipping and Payment. PayPal only. I ship promptly worldwide; sometimes the automatic eBay invoice does not have accurate shipping if you buy more than one LP, so if you are unsure email me and ask for an invoice. . . . I offer full refund on this record including shipping both ways, unless you live outside North America in which case I will refund you shipping one way unless I made a mistake which I sometimes do because I am only human.. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS: Please add sales tax!
