All records are carefully graded under bright light however people do tend to have a degree of subjective opinion on grading.  Records are tested in bulk (one-after-another) with needle being changed after approximately 100 plays.  Brand new needles can sometimes reveal noise etc. that are not noticed with a needle that has as few as 20 uses.  Records are ultrasonically cleaned; however, records are being shipped from Colorado with a very dry climate so lint is a bane even with just cleaned records.  Care is taken to minimize this issue but it is extremely difficult to keep all lint from records in such a dry climate during a drought.
