This really was the birth of progressive rock! It was the Beatles' 9th Lp and what an impact it had. and still does have. Released on the 1st of June 1967, the album reached number 1 across the board, staying at number 1 for 23 weeks!! With a total of 148 weeks in the charts!!

She has just very light marks to her, which make VERY LITTLE difference to audio output...I gave her a gentle professional Ultrasonic bath and a Vacuum clean and then listened to her all the way through *LOUD* and this is what I found:

CERTAINLY NO SKIPS/JUMPS OR STICKS

The audio kicks in with a great thump and continues on with lovely rich audio with barely even any background noise-superb quality!

The bass line was lovely, clean and clear on Mr Kite, with some great escalation I hadn't noticed before-it is that clear!

Then into Lennons ghostly voice shining out on A Day In The Life...

There are only a few very light and soft background pops, which were incredibly brief and insignificant. It really was such a rich sounding experience which brought a wide smile to my face :)

The STEREO reproduction still sounds as ground breaking today as it did in 1968!

The hand clapping on Getting Better was soo clear-I thought I was in the studio with The Beatles hehe..

There was a bit of light and soft background crackle towards the end of She’s Leaving Home-but nothing offensive at all.

W-O-W..the piano really blasted out of my right speaker with utter clarity on Lovely Rita.

Side 2 is even clearer than side 1 with wonderful STEREO splits throughout.

I also noticed a very different perpetual ending to that of the mono...weird.

It is the ORIGINAL red & white FOOLS INNER!

Remains vibrant in colour.

There is a small split of 10cm to the left side and some feathering to the opening-but: all original!

Superb...Deep green colour...Showing to be the first printing run.

Even the corners remain sharp.

The front cover remains lovely and vibrant, as is the back cover and the inner picture really stands out with BRIGHT colours.

There is just ONE small crescent of spidering lines to the front, near the opening and only TWO small crescents to the back-GREAT!

The corners are still strong, with just light rubbing and with the spine remaining superbly solid, legible and perfectly intact.

CORRECT cover, with "Stereo" to the back top right corner.

ORIGINAL 1st print flipbacks present.

There is some rubbing just below the top left flipback on the inside-see if you can spot it in the detailed images provided.

I have just noticed a small name to the inside of the section where the record is housed-didn’t notice it before I started taking the photos.
