Description
Here is a RARE vintage BLUES album from my collection offered up for sale: This is blues master Muddy Waters' debut album "The Best Of Muddy Waters". Muddy hit the scene long before he released his first album, so his first album was titled a Best OF, cool! This album was originally released in 1957, this is an early re-pressing from 1965 by Chess LP 1247 (Stereo). This one has the original 1957 cover with "Sheldon Recording Studios" on the back (record labels often used-up leftover stock) with Stereo sticker added to front, still has original printed inner sleeve showing Chuck Berry albums and others, cool! Disc and cover have been well cared for!
The vinyl grades NEAR MINT, is super glossy and clean, has only a couple small faint sleeve marks, has been very well cared for! PLAY TESTED, plays great from start to finish with excellent sound quality! The labels are clean, no stickers or writing, minimal spindle wear!
The cover rates EX, is clean and bright with minimal age discoloration, edges and corners excellent, no splits, binder edge EX and readable, has light ring wear, paper sleeve had center splits and one side was fraying on opening edge neatly taped, has been very well cared for! (see photos).
Album will be shipped in a .3 ml plastic sleeve in a record box with tracking. Vinyl will be shipped in "throw away" paper sleeve outside cover to prevent cover/sleeve splits.
