For auction is "ETTA JAMES" on ARGO LP 4013. Original 1962 MONO. White label DEMO Edition.


SOUND: VG++

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. What can I say? Powerful, clean, crisp! The only thing that keeps me from grading it NM is the presence of 2 quick "tics" in the opening of A3, "A lover's Mourn." Otherwise, fantastic!


VINYL: VG++

Visually, the vinyl is gorgeous. Other than a few light smudges, looks newish. White ARGO demo labels are very clean!


COVER: VG+ 

The cover is very nice! Edges and spine are solid and straight with minimal wear. Corners are nice, just a tough of softening. Front and back covers are very clean, with routine wear/aging. These jackets were produced with a cut-out on the top rear cover, presumably for hanging the album. Just mentioning it, lest you think the cover has a tear...

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability. 


Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.  


If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
