ETTA JAMES Queen of Soul ARGO 4040 STEREO RARE
Argo Records catalog number LP-4040, a stereo pressing of the 1965 Etta James classic Queen of Soul. I do not believe this record has ever been pressed on CD and it's a crime; fantastic soul record with Etta's gospel background easy to hear in nearly every one of the ten tracks. Rare stereo pressing with blue Argo label, deep groove. Does not have original inner sleeve. Cover is VG+ with some ringwear, a name in Sharpie back cover, no splits. Vinyl is straight, glossy, some visible wear and a bit of noise here and there but this one's VG+, I believe. Sound on these stereo pressings is absolutely terrific. Cleaned on a VPI machine.
