Description
ESG ?– Come Away With ESG LP (99 Records 99-03LP) ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSING
ORIGINAL Black label 99 RECORDS first edition of this 1983 ESG classic! Original owner.Has the EDP stamper, Masterdisk stamper & Howie Weinberg's tiny signature on dead wax, this release also has 2 messages written by Ed bahlman 'Happy Birthday Renee' on the A side & 'Love To Christelle, Nicole, Mom and esp ESG - Ed!' on the B side. ESG are legendary for their funky drum breaks and frequently sampled bits, but their records are remarkable on their own!!
LP is MINT-/Cover is VG (bent on top left corner, see photo, there is a promo drill hole on the top right of the cover & moderate shelf wear).
See my other items for ESG's "Dance To The Beat Of Moody" (99 Records original) and their RARE 1987 self-released "Bam Bam Jam" 12".
ESG have been one of the more revered bands for samples of their era. "Moody" was sampled in on Like This (House Mix) by Chip E. feat. K. Joy (1985), Mellow by Tricky (1998), Let's Get This Party Started (Party Mix) by Funk Machine (1992), Feelin' Moody by Loose Bruce (1990), Piano Power by Remy & Sven (1993), Welcome to My Groove (Hurley's Deep House Mix) by Mellow Man Ace and Jeanette (1990), I Like Percussion by Jack N Madness (1984), The Hole by Two Men on a Struggle (1994), Dance to the Underground by Radio 4 (2001), Get Up (Before the Night Is Over) (Def Mix) by Technotronic (1990), The Circus (Remix) by Cuco (1984), Baby's Feelin' Hot by True Culture (1991), Hey Norton (Aw Shucks) by Farley "Jackmaster" Funk (1987) and others.

A quick note about international postage rates: In 2013 & again in 2016 the US Postal Service significantly raised the cost of shipping packages (to everywhere outside the US). With my shipping prices I try to do my best to reflect accurate shipping costs & packaging material (I do try to be responsible & recycle when I can). I know that international buyers have seen these greater costs in buying from the states and I want to apologize and simply state that the US Postal Service is struggling to break even in the wake of evaporating traditional mail traffic and that costs those who still mail packages.
