Description

ERNEST RANGLIN - WRANGLIN'

An excellent condition copy of this 1st press 1964 jazz rarity, sparingly played with impressive audio quality throughout

Year/Label : 1964 UK WHITE ISLAND
Label number : ILP 909

Matrix numbers : ILP 909 A//1  1  /  ILP 909 B//1  1
1964 UK 1st press jazz rarity on UK white Island label with rough textured labels : excellent (EX) condition vinyl - gleams with jet black sheen and earliest A1/B1 matrices, sparingly played with just a couple of very wispy hairlines & barely noticeable faint light scuff marks (only detectable with close inspection under a bright light) and a single 1cm non-obvious surface scratch on the first track of side 2 (the end of which is just, and only just, feelable) which results in x6 very light background clicks (no skips or jumps); excellent plus (EX++) early 60's roughly textured labels with just a couple of small & extremely faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each label; excellent (EX) condition front side laminated outer sleeve with firm unscuffed edges - just a few small laminate creases adjacent and perpendicular to the edges one of which does slightly weaken the spine at that point, nice right angled corners with minimal rubbing, no laminate lifting, and all artwork/photos/text remaining impressively intact with just a couple of small & superficial reverse side storage marks and the hint of a little grubbiness adjacent to the spine where the vertical lamination overlap ends; terrific audio with no jumps, repeats, clicks (apart from the aforementioned x6 light clicks on B1), and any background crackle is occasional, non-intrusive & at an absolute minimum. Comes complete with original plain white inner sleeve - no seam splits, just a little corner creasing, and remaining fully functional.
A great listen from the guitar master with Ernest Ranglin, Alan Ganley (drums) and Malcolm Cecil all in great form - an essential addition to any serious jazz vinyl collection.
  POSTAGE COSTS :

For the UK £5 using Royal Mail 1st class signed for ;

for continental Europe £14 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for,

and for the rest of the world £21 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for.

I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 53 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window! My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I will sort out the problem. I offer a "no questions asked" refund policy. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige. There is NO RESERVE on this item. Richard
