Description
Original 1960 copy of the Eric Dolphy Quintet featuring Freddie Hubbard , Outward Bound.
New Jazz label first pressing.
Mono , RVG stamped, purple labels .
Unique in that it’s been signed by Eric Dolphy and Jaki Byard on the back .
Matrix NJLP 8236 A RVG / NJLP 8236 B RVG
Some hairlines , most noticeable are long ones across GW , Green Dolphin Street and 245 .
These do not affect play and grading is VG+ .
Labels are clean but with numerous spindle marks.
The laminate cover presents well .
Top left corner has some wear .
There is a small shop sticker just above where the artists have signed .
The only real issue is a 2 and a half inch split in the middle of the spine where the album title is .
Overall a very nice copy of Dolphy’s highly regarded debut album with the exceptional line up of guest Freddie Hubbard , Jackie Byard, George Tucker and Roy Haynes
