ERIC DOLPHY – FAR CRY – PRESTIGE 7747 – DISKMAKERS TEST PRESSING – M- – STEREO

This is a Diskmakers Test pressing in stereo of the Van Gelder session, recorded on December 21, 1960 featuring Eric Dolphy on alto, bass clarinet and flute, Booker Little on trumpet, Jaki Byard on piano, Ron Carter on bass and Roy Haynes on drums. SIDE A: BIRD’S MOTHER; ODE TO CHARLIE PARKER and FAR CRY. SIDE B: MISS ANN; LEFT ALONE; TENDERLY and IT’S MAGIC. The initials on the vinyl are “DBH” and the date is 11/8/69. The white label has “Prest 7747 A & B”. This is a Stereo recording.

I’ve rated this LP as M- due to the following reasons. The vinyl is perfect, with no marks on either side. There is no sign of wear around the spindle holes. The record jacket is in perfect condition. There is a factory tear on the top right corner of the liner notes, near the spine. It came from Prestige in that condition.
