ERIC CLAPTON Crossroads GERMAN POLYDOR 6LPs Box set with Booklet & Insert 835 261 1!
Original German 6LP box set with 28 page booklet and songwriters & publishers index insert, released in 1988, on the POLYDOR Record label. The box set comprises of a 12-inch textured cardboard box containing 6LPs, all with individual sleeves, includes a 28-page booklet with matching box textured front/back cover and a single page songwriters & publishers index insert. Catalogue number: 835 261 1
Box: Lid/Bottom: NEAR MINT CONDITION
Overall the box comprises of the lid and the bottom base which accommodates the 6LPs, booklet and insert. Both the lid and the base are in NEAR MINT condition displays one small minor indent mark on the front lid and no other damage. There are no rips/tears, no edge wear, no edge/corner splits and no creases.
Booklet & Insert: MINT/NEAR MINT CONDITION
The booklet is in MINT condition, clean throughout with no signs of wear or any damage, the insert is in NEAR MINT condition, clean but displays slight minor handling wear.
LP Sleeves: EXCELLENT CONDITION
All the interior accommodating LP picture/track listing printed sleeves are very thinly designed and fragile/flimsy in feel and appearance, some wear is evident, however this is mainly superficial and more to do with the initial nature of the design then mishandling by the previous owner (who was somewhat of a fastidious nature). Some light sleeve curling, partial record edge outline impression marks and some small light superficial creases are evident on some of the sleeve to and from various degrees. Overall I would still grade them as in EXCELLENT condition, none of the sleeve display any rips/tears, edge wear, seem splits or any deep lined sleeve creases.
Records: MINT CONDITION
All the LP records are in MINT condition, all the record labels are MINT, clean with no damage and no visible spindle hole marks. All the records playing surfaces and the matrix areas are in MINT condition, clean and superb glossy sheen throughout with no visible surface scuffs or marks. The appearance of the LPs as a whole does raise the question of whether any of these have ever been played? Overall this is very well preserved Eric Clapton 6LP box set in exceptional condition.
