Description
This is the original UK LP by ERIC CLAPTON, SLOWHAND, 19th November 1977 Very 1st Pressing on Polydor's R.S.O DELUXE label 2479 201
This is a Very 1st Pressing, below are the indenfication straits :-
ONLY Very 1st Pressings were issued in the wide-spine 'Howard Printers' Gatefold cover, later issues were issued with a single cover
On the bottom of the spine is credited 'R.S.O DELUXE 2479 201', later issues didnot have this
Matrix numbers:- Side 1:- 2479201 A#1, Side 2:- 2479201 B#1, Very 1st early matrix's
And finally on each side on the run-off dead wax area is the original 1977 machine stamped 'MASTERDISK' logo, MASTERED IN NEW YORK CITY
The original November 1977 UK Very 1st issue 'Howard Printers wide-spine gatefold cover is in VG+++ condition, lovely and clean, showing only a little ageing their is no unwanted writing, no seam splits. The spine is readable, but does show some wear mainly to the top 3rd of the spine, not split. All other seams are undamaged and clean
The vinyl is in a STUNNING EX+++ / MINT- condition, lovely and clean, maintaining all it's original gleaming shine and lustre. I have played both sides, (very carefully), and im delighted to say that from start to finish the vinyl plays Mint-!!!, playing with super crisp clear clarity!, the quality of the Stereo on the 1st pressing, is outstanding!!!!, playing with such depth and warmth!, STUNNING!, CRYSTAL CLEAR AUDIO, ABSOLUTELY STUNNING, OUTSTANDING!
The labels is MINT-, lovely and clean, with all its original bright vibrant colour, both label's have no unwanted writing, the centre spindle hole show little or no wear.
The vinyl is housed in it's original 1977 UK 1st issue Polydor polythene lined inner sleeve, and in EX condition the inner sleeve is clean, showing some ageing to the edges, their is no unwanted writing and no seam splits.
