Dear Philip: I thought so - can I caution you about these discs? They are not exactly fakes, having been reproduced by RCA Victor themselves as special pressings to order for collectors in the postwar period. However, they are mis-labelled and are NOT, definitely NOT, catalogue number 88025, which was the otherwise unpublished 1906 'Celeste Aïda', but transcribed dubbings of Victor 88127, the 1908 commercially issued version of the same aria, which is around in thousands especially as there are also HMV pressings of the same thing. The 1908 original 88127 is a twelve-inch, so on a ten-inch they must be dubbings. The 1906 88025 plays too long to go onto a ten-inch. There are genuine copies of it, but twelve-inch and few and far between. So all I would say, is expect a query from anybody thinking that they are buying 88025. Incidentally, there are also RCA dubbings like this, but twelve-inch, labelled 91007, which was the 1902 TEN-INCH version of this same aria, and they, too, are transcribed dubbings of 88127. This question of RCA Victor special pressings is a minefield, but I have the discs described so you can take this as gospel.
