Condizioni : copertina laminata frontalmente ha lievi grinze sugli angoli e nel retro mostra una leggera traccia giallastra lasciata per la rimozione di un'etichetta, grande stato, NEAR MINT / vinile con pochi leggeri segnetti di frizione con la busta interna senza alcuna conseguenza per l'ottimale ascolto fatta eccezione per un pò di modesto rumore di fondo che affiora in alcuni passaggi lenti e poi scompare. La mia supposizione è che il difetto sia causato dall'uso di una mediocre qualità della materia prima da parte della casa discografica. Grande stato, EX+ 

Conditions : laminated cover on the front shows some light creasing on the corners and has in the back a light yellowish trace left by a removed sticker, NEAR MINT / vinyl shows a few cosmetic rubs not affecting listening except for some moderate background noise emerging in some slow passages and then disappearing. My guess is that this flaw has been caused by the use of a poor quality of the basic material by the record company. EX+

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a turntable Rega Planar 3 with a moving magnet cartridge Grado Statement 1. I listen EPs and singles 45  rpm. on a turntable Thorens TD 166 BC with a MM cartridge Goldring 1006. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : le musiche originali contenute nel lato A sono di Ennio Morricone con direzione orchestrale di Bruno Nicolai e la partecipazione del Trio Junior (a3) e dei Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni (a1, a2, a4). Il secondo lato contiene la Messa da Requiem di Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart che fa parte della colonna sonora del film. Viene eseguita dalla Orchestra Filarmonica Statale di Mosca e dal Coro dell' Accademia dell'URSS diretta da Aleksander Sveshnikov. Parlando del primo lato non deve sorprendere l'apparente stravaganza nella scelta dei vari brani. Avanguardia, sperimentazione, canzonetta beat, musica western, un ballo per i giovani capelloni....di molti anni fa. Nulla è casuale in queste scelte, musica popolare e d'élite sono le due facce della stessa medaglia sia per Pasolini che per Morricone. Il discorso sarebbe lungo e questa non è una conferenza bensì una vendita all'asta e dunque qui mi fermo. " Teorema " (a1) è un tema d'avanguardia con violini dalle note stridenti, effetti sonori e vibrafono che sembrano essere isolati l'uno dall'altro e con improvvisazioni musicali che iniziano e s'interrompono bruscamente mentre il coro s'impegna in una serie di lamentosi e misticheggianti vocalizzi. L'idea generale è quella del tormento esistenziale.  " Frammenti " (a2) ha suoni minimali e fugaci e una soffusa presenza del coro. " Fruscio di Foglie Verdi " (a3) è cantata dalle voci maschili e femminili del Trio Junior, piacevole canzone beat con buon fraseggio di batteria e suono d'organo. " L'Ultima Corrida " (a4) ha nei suoni della tromba sia l'epicità della tradizione musicale Spagnola che la drammaticità di " Alle Cinque della Sera ", primo verso della celebre poesia di Federico Garcia Lorca " Llanto por Ignacio Sánchez Mejías ". Qui affiora subito alla mente la tromba di Michele Lacerenza in " Per un Pugno di Dollari ", non manca l'intervento vocale di Alessandroni e della chitarra nella stessa direzione di quel film. In sintesi  Spagna & Western e va bene così. Infine " Beat N. 3 " (a5) è uno shake strumentale ben confezionato con chitarra e batteria in evidenza.  Nel secondo lato la musica di Mozart. Non mi ci soffermo ma è a dir poco emozionante la straordinaria prova offerta da Sveshnikov, dal Coro e dall'Orchestra. 

Notes : original score featured in side A by Ennio Morricone, orchestra Bruno Nicolai with Trio Junior (a3) and Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni (a1, a2, a4). The second side includes Requièm Mass in D Minor (K. 626) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, which is part of film soundtrack. It is performed by The U.S.S.R Academic Chorus and The Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Aleksander Sveshnikov. With regard to the first side is not surprising the apparent extravagance in the choice of the various tracks. Avant-garde, experimental sound, beat song, western music, a dance for young hippies .... of many years ago. Nothing is random in this selection, popular and elite music are two sides of the same coin both for Pasolini and Morricone. The question should be long and this is not a conference but an auction and therefore I will stop here.

" Teorema " (a1) is an avant-garde theme with strident violins, sound effects and vibes which seem to be isolated to each other and musical improvisations starting and abruptly interrupted  while the chorus engages a series of lamentful and mystical vocalisms. The basic idea is relating to existential torment. " Frammenti " (a2) features minimalist and fleeting sonorities with a suffused presence of the chorus. " Fruscio di Foglie Verdi " (a3) sung by the male and female voices of Trio Junior is a nice beat song with good drumming and organ sound. " L'Ultima Corrida " (a4) has in the trumpet both the epic of the Spanish tradition and the drama of " At Five in the Afternoon ", first verse of the famous poem by Federico Garcia Lorca "Llanto por Ignacio Sánchez Mejías ". Here emerges immediately to mind the trumpet of Michele Lacerenza in " A Fistful of Dollars " and there is also the Alessandroni’s vocal presence as well as the guitar in the same way of that movie. In a nutshell Spain & Western and that's okay. Finally " Beat No. 3 " (a5) is a well structured instrumental shake with guitar and drums in the foreground.  The second side includes music by Mozart. I will not dwell there but it is nothing short of wonderful the extraordinary performance by Sveshnikov, the Choir and the Orchestra.
