This disc is part of my personal record collection and has been in my possession since purchase . It has been rarely played as it was my practice to record all new discs to my stereo tape deck , play the recordings on a day to day basis and archive the discs. I apply the Record Collector Magazine grading classification rigorously to all the discs I offer for sale. The ratings are:
Sleeve: in EXCELLENT condition . There are no marks to front and back, and while the spine has evidence of wear, the band's name can still be easily read on the spine. To help potential bidders, I have tried to capture this in a photo. (see photo)
Inner Sleeve: EXCELLENT condition.
Disc: Potential bidders should note that I always listen to the whole of both sides of any disc I offer for sale and my ratings are honest assessments. The disc is in better than EXCELLENT condition and looks good to my eye under a bright light. The sound quality is truly splendid, being rich, deep and clear as a bell. There is no distortion, and apart from a very very small number of very minor dust pops, there is no surface noise. Indeed the disc plays virtually as brand new and, remarkably for a 40something year old disc, cannot be classified as anything less than EXCELLENT+. Bidders familiar with this album will be aware that there are many very very quiet and subtle passages, during which a poor copy would be badly found out. In my opinion, this definitely does not apply to this disc. Certainly Emerson, lake and Palmer were a premier league 'super-group' rock band, and on this album they did produce varied, melodic and exceptionally powerful music inspired by Emerson's virtuoso keyboard playing. Emerson, Lake and Palmer would make a excellent acquisition for any serious collector and fan of 1970s progressive rock.
The disc will be packaged very carefully for posting. I am happy to answer any questions about the product.
Enjoy bidding on this superb copy of a rare disc, which is being offered at a very reasonable starting price.
