The very 1st album issued on their own STARGATE Label, expressly dedicated to EMERALD WEB and their few solo works / related artists.
Includes the Rare 5-Page Promotional PRESS KIT (securely held inside a separate, protective clear polyvinyl sheath) and the original Parchment full-size Info/Artwork INSERT.
All super-clean with no writing, soil, wrinkles, creases or tears. NM but for slight arc impression from the edge of Vinyl LP they were packed alongside of, inside the cover.

An early seminal precursor to the 1980s electronic, new age, minimal synth boom and a welcome feminine take on the genre (critically epitomized shortly after by the likes of Suzanne Ciani and Lucia Hwong). Dragon Wings and Wizard Tales finds the multi-instrumentalist duo combining a broad range of modular synths (Oberheim, Roland, Minimoog, ARP, etc.) - as found in similar formation to ambient krautrock records by Klaus Schulze - and the use of the Lyricon wind synth (as favoured by Swiss electronic pioneer Bruno Spoerri) along with a variety of Shakuhachi, Indonesian, mesquite, antique wooden and other unique flutes such as their own-designed "Flute Electronique".

This debut LP mixes purely instrumental tracks along with some featuring the seldom heard lead vocals from Kat Epple, a compelling element in their music which later disappeared in favor of non-lingustic spiritual soundscapes and universal tantric electronics.
...a very cool blend of Folk-Psych and Electronics with great female vocals. Trippy, spacey and immersive. ...while many of us wouldn't generally listen to records about dragons and wizards, don't shy away on that account, this landmark LP is great.

who was a DJ at the Radio Station I co-founded in the 1970's - and who worked for me at my California record store in the '70s and '80s. . Sadly he has now left this mortal coil, bequeathing me his deep Vinyl Mine.
