Of all the HMV GOLD LABEL 45s"Mystery train" 45POP295 is one of the hardest to find especially in Excellent condition such as this.Carefully owned for ALMOST 50 YEARS this is a hard to beat copy but NEVERTHELESS here is an acurate description. "Mystery train "leaps out of the speakers with a freshness rarely heard- plenty of Bass and a super clear sound! Slight surface noise and a little distortion at "peaks"- but far better than those dreadful hissy old Amercian Sun pressings plus of course the Regal looking HMV Label is better! Right up to the fade out , the sound is vibrant and a joy! You will love this! "B" side,"LOVE ME" has some distortion at "peaks"- which you get on most copies-it was cut probably a little too shrill- adjust the tone control and it sounds superb!One click lasts for approx 25 seconds half way through but not a loud thudder. I LISTEN WITH THE TREBLE FULL ON WITH NO FILTERS TO HEAR IT AT IT''S WORSE POSSIBLE. "B" side Label has faint owners name in pen- see second photo but "A "side Label is superb. 4 PRONG CENTRE FULLY INTACT. Housed in an original clean hmv company cover, It has been a pleasure to own and enjoy. By the way all those "get rich quick merchants " who are stuck with those boring 10" reissues- I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!!!! Realistic starting price with no annoying reserve but I anticipate keen last minute bidding !!!!! This will leap in value as years go on and I am sure to regret letting it go!
