Description
TITLE/ARTIST: This rare 45/PS combination by the legendary "King of R'n'R" himself, Elvis Presley, is on the original, RCA Label - with the horizontal line on record's label - from 1956. The picture sleeve is the very hard to find, black and white copy - this record came with four different colored picture sleeves and I intend to list at least two other colors in today's auction as well - the green and pink copies. I think it's probably the very rare and hard to find picture sleeves that make this piece so highly collectible (especially this one), but please see the pics of both the record and the picture sleeve above. The 45/PS is entitled "Love Me Tender/Any Way You Want Me" and is just one of many Elvis 45/PS's I intend to begin listing, so please check out my site from time to time - thank you. In addition to the picture sleeve and as a "throw in", I have also included an original and very early RCA Victor company sleeve (pictured above). LABEL INFO: This original RCA Victor Label (6643) - with the horizontal line - is very clean and nice with no real flaws at all - I don't even see any spindle lines around the center circle, which indicates to me very little actual play - if any at all. VINYL INFO: The vinyl is also super clean, nice, and almost perfect, although there are a very few, super light surface/paper lines on either side - but nothing too visible or serious, believe me. Otherwise, it also looks about as good as the day it was purchased. PICTURE SLEEVE: The "black and white" picture sleeve - which helps make this whole package even more collectible and desired, is quite nice but not perfect either. There are a few small and very light wrinkle/crease lines in places on either side and some moisture-like or aging "spots" on the backside only - but nothing too serious, believe me. Overall, considering the rarity of this sleeve, I don't consider any of this to be too bad (but again, please see the pics above and make your own decisions). INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, in my opinion, this early Elvis 45/PS combo is super clean and very, very nice - not to mention how difficult it is to find at all, so please have at it. As always, I have begun the auction at a very low opening bid and have no reserve price - just free and open bidding - so good luck!. In addition, I will continue to list many other RnR/R&B LP's, EP's, and 45's by 1950-60's artists----and even some C&W LPs/45's, too. I am selling off my entire personal collection, and there are 1000's of more records to list yet -- of all varieties and genres. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are $18.00 for the 1st 45 and then just $3.00 per 45 after that.
