A great opportunity to buy a copy of a 6 inch 78rpm single from the 50's by Elvis Presley called "The Truth About Me".
Released in June 1957, this was a mail order give-away obtained through "The Weekend Mail" magazine. Neither the original magazine nor the mailing envelope are available, so it is just the one-sided record containing an exclusive interview with Elvis which is on offer.
I have not been able to play this 78 rpm record, so I am unable to report on the playing condition, but visually the record has many surface marks, scuffs and light scratches. On the blank reverse side, there are heavier scuffs and scratches evident. Overall I would say the record is in a poor condition.
The label is faded and stained and has small areas around the perimeter missing or re-stuck.
It comes housed within a plain card sleeve (not original) in an excellent condition.
I do hope this item will be of interest to collectors and it may well fill a gap in someone's collection.
