TOTALLY UNIQUE AND MEGA RARE
Six Inch ELVIS PRESLEY Acetate record playing at 78rpm
"THE TRUTH ABOUT ME" 1957 Mail Order Only
issued by The Weekend Mail in 1957 with no catalogue number (one year after Elvis's 45's and 78's started appearing in this country)
COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL MAILER ENVELOPE/PACKAGING
A truly stunning and Mega rare ELVIS collectable on offer here -Unbelievable that this artefact has survived for nearly 50 years in its original mailing envelope ! Stored carefully after opening back in 1957 ( the postmark reads London 2 April 57 )
The Elvis photo in my picture was used to adorn the front of the sturdy packaging and covered the post mark - The original tear off request slip has been used by the sender to find the recipient and the label is still there in the top left corner - AMAZING!
THIS WAS PERHAPS THE FIRST OPORTUNITY FOR ANY FAN OF THE KING TO HERE HIM SPEAK EXCLUSIVLEY TO THEM BEFORE TV CAUGHT ON
THE ENVELOPE IS IN GREAT CONDITION FOR ITS AGE AND FULLY COMPLETE
The 6" one sided disc inside is in superb condition -a great lustre with deep grooves -a few fairly minor looking surface marks only -Sadly since I bought this from the original owner I have been unable to play this record due to lack of the correct device -I grade visually as Very Good -chances are it plays tremendously well
The white/red label is nice and clean and reads:
