ELVIS PRESLEY - The Legend 1954-1971 (30LP’s / 4 Box sets) RCA Australia LPs NM!
Here’s a fantastic opportunity to grab all four hard to find box sets that make the complete set of Elvis The Legend released in Australia in the early to mid 80’s. Compiled, researched and annotated by Glenn A. Baker, these box sets were the first to dig deep in terms of the inclusion of rare and hard to find sessions, with many recordings making their debut here.
The cat numbers for the box sets are ELR1, ELR2, ELR3 and ELR4.
Very hard to find a complete set - this will save you the hassle of finding them individually and having them posted from different areas and with differing quality!
As mentioned in the title of the listing, the LP’s are Near Mint. They are in exceptional condition and the majority of them are unplayed with no spindle wear to indicate previous use.
I’ve sampled discs from each box to confirm how they play and I’m happy to say they play an absolute dream - no surface noise is present - aside from some very occasional static these are dead quiet!
The condition of the housing boxes is where this drops in quality quite a bit. They are visibly aged and carry some damage. Mostly scuffing and corner splits. Box Set #4 also has a concave indentation on the front panel. I’ve photographed the worst of the overall condition so you can see for yourself. But please be aware the boxes themselves are in no way as pristine as the vinyl.
Overall I rate the boxes as Good (some wear and damage sustained) and the LP’s as Near Mint (as described above) - giving an overall rating of Very Good.
These will be packaged exactly as you would expect for a sale of this value. I will use the most secure mailers and padding possible and house in a strong box with additional padding. I guarantee transit will not cause any further damage to the boxes.
Shipping within Australia includes registered and insured post.
Due to the excessive weight of the set this is not offered for overseas sale (unless you have money to burn - in which case contact me for a quote - but I can safely estimate it will be approx $200AUD shipping + a little more for tracking and signature on delivery.
