ELVIS PRESLEY – SPEEDWAY (LSP-3989) A 1976-77 REISSUE With LPM/LSP BACK SLICK COVER VARIETY!
RECORD: NM with original, glossy surfaces. The black, “Dog Near Top” labels on this record are beautiful, NM. This Original Soundtrack Recording was originally released in June of 1968 in both Monaural and Stereo and it was the very last Elvis album to deliver the option. This album includes the hit single, “Let Yourself Go / Your Time Hasn’t Come Yet Baby”. This album was also the only one to have an entire track all done by a different artist; Nancy Sinatra singing “Your Groovy Self”, which could have been a single in its own right!
COVER: NM with a look and feel to it as though the original shrink wrap had just been torn off last week! This cover somehow received an older back slick that shows the LPM-3989 availability to the upper right corner! This back slick may have been left over from at least the Orange Label era even though no Monaural copy was available after 1968. Compare with other copies of “Speedway” black label, “Dog Near Top” copies in your collection. This cover is simply beautiful and fully original. The original “ELVIS” (54F) inner sleeve is included.
