We have been selling some incredibly scarce ELVIS records here on eBay over the past few weeks, many demos and promos. So we have looked hard and found three more for you! These are nice!!
Here we have a green label, single sided 'demonstration sample not for sale' of "Blue Suede Shoes".
This was released in the UK in1958 on RCA 1095, as the B-Side to "Hound Dog". However, prior to release a few test pressings and 'demos' would have been made and this is one of them.
Collecting demos is fiercely fought among collectors as there were so few made and they are rarely seen. The are, in fact, better than 'first editions' as they pre-date an actual release.
Condition of the playing surface is 'good' with some surface scratches. The label is clean with the running time (1m 55s) hand written at the three o'clock position and the issued catalogue number (RCA 1095) stamped in faded red ink.
