Description
ELVIS PRESLEY-Here is your chance to own Elvis' very first record album. Self titled. LPM-1254. Made in 1956 with the P.D. credit (Public Domain). Let me explain P.D. The 6th song on side 1 is titled "Just Because". On every record except the very first release the song-writing credits are given to Bob Shelton, Joe Shelton and Sid Robin. The very first release of the album gives the song-writing credit to P.D.-Public Domain. You can imagine how upset Joe, Bob and Sid were upon learning they were not going to receive any royalty checks. Joe, Bob and Sid's lawyers cited copywrite infringement and the subsequent pressing were changed. This record is from the very first release. The record has several scratches and 2 removed stickers on side 1. The cover has invisible tape on all seams. There is some browning and normal shelf wear. There is a removed sticker on top back cover. There is ink scribbles on Elvis' pictures on eye and mouth. There is a ink writing on top of back cover (richards) Who cares, the record alone is rare and hard to find and worth more than the cover. I SHIP WORLDWIDE.
