The 1962 UK MONO Pressing on the 1st issue RCA Victor SILVER Spot Label

Cover:  Very Good Plus condition. Firm and flat and holds the LP tightly. Sharp edges with minor storage creases on the corners but all are still quite well defined. Lamination completely intact over the iconic glossy front pictorial, spine, edges and fold-over flaps, with no storage wear lifting. The front pictorial has retained its glossy appearance and the rear panel of the sleeve has only a very slight aging colour to it.

The spine is completely intact and the title text present and readable. 

There are no stickers or sticker residue or handwriting, or handwriting imprints.

Inner Sleeve: This is the original die-cut RCA thin outer paper and a poly-lined inner. In Very Good Plus condition, completely intact at all seams inside and out, and holds record well.

The Vinyl Disc: Very Good Plus

The vinyl surfaces have retained a bright glossy sheen on both sides with the most of the surface area being marks free. The surfaces are smooth with no groove wear.

There are no feelable marks or scratches, no dinks in the surfaces and no warps.

The record does show an amount of light superficial stylus hairlines and sleeve removal trails on both sides commensurate with age and number of plays, all mainly visible under bright light.

Pressed on heavy, robust  early sixties vinyl.  The disc lays completely flat on the turntable on both sides, and sits perfectly on the spindle point.

The labels are Very Good Plus, earliest possible in the U.K., aving retained the dark black background and yellow print still looks striking. The spindle location point has very little wear on the label paper around its perimeter, does have spindle line traces but not too far reaching.

All label text is clear and readable.

No sticker or sticker residue or writing.

The Audio: Excellent

The record plays with crisp vocal clarity and full mono bass definition throughout.

Track changes and interludes are smooth and noise free and this LP is thoroughly playable and still a respectable example. There are no noises such as pops, loud ticks or background noises which overcomes any of the audio. There is very light background crackle/ static ticks on the lead-in's to some of the tracks on each sides as is the norm with the best of examples.

The robust early sixties vinyl presses usually ensures that the audio quality tends to be better than the appearance of a played surface may suggest, and this is no exception.

There are no major detractions and only a small/ acceptable amount of lessening from the original audio quality.

The item will be delivered in a professional LP mailer with one or two cardboard stiffeners inserted. 

The cover will be protected in a 180gsm plastic sleeve and the LP will be placed in a new generic anti-static inner sleeve inside the cover, with the original inner sleeve placed separately.

The item will be marked as fragile and sent recorded delivery.

Ex+ = Near Mint: In almost new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover and contents near perfect.
Ex = Excellent: Shows some signs of being played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VG+ = Better than Very Good: Obviously been played but no significant deterioration in sound quality despite light surface marks. Very little wear and tear on cover and contents, without any major defects.
VG = Very Good: Obviously been played many times but no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on cover or contents, without any major defects.
Gd+ = Better than Good: Sound quality has deteriorated but with no distortion. Light scratches and occasional mild scratch. Cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges but not spine splits or discoloration.
Gd = Good: Sound quality has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion. Mild scratches. Cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc.
