A GREAT COLLECTOR'S ITEM!

A chance to own a piece of rock'n'roll history. From my personal collection an original copy of SUN 223 'Mystery Train/ I Forgot to Remember to Forget' by Elvis Presley. This was released in the US in 1955, the last of the five Sun singles.

 

The vinyl surface has a good shine (should be able to see this from the photos) with a few very superficial lines. There is just a very small edge warp at one point for a few millimetres which does not affect play. The sound is very rich and clear with very little background noise, one very slight tick for just a few bars past half way through 'I Forgot', Mystery Train side has hardly any background noise, no ticks- great sound. This is on my current turntable with senstive lightweight arm as well.

The labels are good with a little writing but not too much to detract from the Sun label as shown in the pics. The run off numbers are 45-u-156 20 with a small gap from the 156 to the 20 for 'Mystery Train' and 157 for 'I Forgot'.

Overall a nice copy of an original Elvis Sun 45.
