Description
Elvis Presley No.2 1ST UK press vinyl album on HMV with flipback sleeve, XT tax code around spindle hole and matrices:
G2-WP-7208 -1N
G2-WP-7207 - 2N
The vinyl is in VG condition visually. The labels are undamaged though they do have some age spots.The vinyl surface has lots of marks and lines from previous play but no deep scratches or marks. There were no jumps or skips throughout both sides. Crackle is evident throughout although this did not overpower the sound. This was a very pleasant listen throughout albeit with the above mentioned crackle.
Track 1: The runin starts with spits and hisses and this continues for around 20/30 seconds. Music plays on clearly(no hisses or distortion)but with crackle.
Track 2: No hissing or distortion, clear sound with crackle.
Track 3: crackle but no hisses or distortion.Pops in space between this and next track.
Track 4: Clear sound with light crackle.
Track 5: A few light clicks, crackle but clear(no distortion)pleasant sound.
Side 2
Track 1: Clear of distortion,crackly, few very light pops.
Track 2: Crackly, but sound comes through well - 2 pops about 10 seconds in.
Track 3: Clear sound(no distortion or hissing)with crackle.
Track 4: Clear sound with crackle.
Track 5: A few clicks but no distortion. Crackle .
Track 6: Crackle but with Clear sound with no distortion or hiss.
**The outer sleeve is in fair condition with laminate tears, seam tears, sellotape marks and creasing. Please see photos.
I grade all of my records according to The Record Collector Magazines grading system.
I always test play my records on a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Turntable with Ortofon cartridge stylus unless they are in near mint/ mint condition and appear unplayed but the description will state this. I don't sell records with deep scratches or marks that affect the sound quality and enjoyment.
All of our Vinyl is professionally cleaned using a Pro-Ject VC-S record cleaning machine.
The vinyl is then packaged in a protective anti static sleeve, the whole album placed into a protective outer plastic sleeve and then posted in a robust top of the range custom cardboard record mailer.
