A word about photos; some of the listings will show what may appear to be duplicate images. The reason for this is that some were taken with a flash and others without the flash, especially on LP covers with shrink wrap where there may be backflash.

ELVIS PRESLEY – HURT / FOR THE HEART (PB-10601) RARE SECOND PRESSING on the RCA BLACK, “DOG NEAR TOP” LABEL IN HIGH GRADE!

This RARE Black Label, “Dog Near Top” second pressing grades VG++ (EXC) with original glossy surfaces. There are a few extremely light paper sleeve scuffs and a few as-made marks on the vinyl which will not have any effect on the audible performance. I have seen copies with much worse as-made marks and other RCA singles from this time period and they are unexplained as to their origin. Originally released in large quantity in March of 1976 on the RCA Victor tan label, this was the very first Elvis Presley record to be issued on the “New Black” label with the “Dog Near Top” in the summer of 1976. These rarely appear on eBay and are highly sought after by collectors due to their scarcity. In 1978, “For The Heart”, which was the actual “A-side” of this single, was reissued as the “B-side” to “Moody Blue” as a “Gold Standard Series” on RCA Records. The record will come housed in the RCA company sleeve as shown.

All records are shipped in the correct cardboard folding mailers with the record separated from the cover, then inserted together within a clear polyvinyl sleeve, then sandwiched between two sheets of cardboard filler pads within the mailer to ensure optimum protection.
