ELVIS PRESLEY – GIRLS! GIRLS! GIRLS! (LSP-2621) NM COPY WITH RARE 1963 PHOTO CALENDAR!
RECORD: NM- with beautiful glossy surfaces! There is just one light, but lengthy scratch on Side 1 that has no effect on the audible performance. This Original Soundtrack Recording played beautifully on test-play! The labels are also NM on this Indianapolis pressing, with only a couple of light spindle marks on the Side 2 label, seen under a bright light. This album was released in November of 1962 and includes the huge hit single, “Return to Sender / Where Do You Come From”.
COVER: VG++ (EXC) Strictly graded with absolutely no seam splits, which is rare for this particular cover! However, there is a pair of pinholes (from one small staple) to the upper left corner as well as a filing number, “I-19”, written in black marker to the upper right corner on the front. This is unfortunate, given the overall condition of this cover but fortunately, it is written in a dark area of the slick and is not very noticeable. The spine as well as the edges are fully legible and solid, showing only minimal wear. The original RCA Victor gray inner sleeve is included.
1963 PHOTO CALENDAR: VG++ (EXC) with the “look” of a fully NM example. A closer look reveals a paper clip impression to the upper right corner as well as several dates circled lightly in either pencil or some type of pen (please see all photos). These do not “stand out” and are not offensive to the eye. This is the scarcer “45 RPM” variety of this 1963 Calendar, available exclusively at record shops, given away to those purchasing the “Girls! Girls! Girls!” LP album. The back side shows no pen or pencil marks around any of the listed 45 RPM’s. A beautiful item!
