Original United States pressing of this Promo Only 10 record Box Set, released in 1956 when RCA was still considering Elvis becoming a Country Music artist.  This set is complete with all ten 7 inch records, each one an Extended Play with 4 songs and playing at 45 RPM.

This comes with all of the original inserts as well, which separate the records inside the box.  It is interesting to note that inside the box on the bottom is an RCA inspector stamp that reads, "Inspected By 41".

The outer box is completely intact, with no splits, no tears, no writing, and very little wear.  It looks pretty amazing to be 65 years old and grades EX.

The 12 paper inserts between the records have also survived well.  They are all clean with no tears, just an occasional light fold here and there.

The records are graded individually below, in the order that they appear in the box.

CHET ATKINS, grades EX and also has a light warp which in no way affects play.

HOMER AND JETHRO, grades EX.

- RECORD 5:
JIM EDWARD, MAXONE, AND BONNIE BROWN/ DEL WOOD grades NM.

- RECORD 6:
ELVIS PRESLEY, grades EX+.

- RECORD 7:
JIM REEVES, grades EX+ and also has a very light warp which in no way affects play.

- RECORD 8:
HANK SNOW, grades NM.

- RECORD 9:
SONS OF THE PIONEERS, grades NM.

- RECORD 10:
PORTER WAGONER, grades NM and also has a very light warp which in no way affects play.

All of our LP's are shipped in sturdy cardboard LP mailers with appropriate padding.

With the exception of sealed LP's, all LP's are removed from their outer sleeves to prevent seam splitting.

All records are carefully graded. In an attempt to give customers an accurate impression of condition rather than adhere to somewhat arbitrary criteria, The Great Escape gives an "overall presentation" grade; we do not give a "listening" grade. Our vinyl listings are supplemented when necessary with additional remarks. For example: where some dealers will not allow a cut corner on an otherwise near mint jacket (often automatically relegating it to a VG+ at best), we may grade such a record as NM and note the cut-out mark (thereby letting you know what it "really" looks like: a near-perfect record with a cut corner). LPs are graded cover first, followed by the grade for the vinyl.
