“ELVIS’ GOLDEN RECORDS”
WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!! MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find original RCA Victor Records “New Ortophonic” High Fidelity Mono second press, released, made and distributed in Chile in 1966 by RCA Victor Records (via Corporación De Radio De Chile, S.A.), licensed from RCA Corporation Of America, USA (uncredited), catalog number LPM-1707, with hand etched matrix numbers LPM-1707-A LAT in Side A and LPM-1707-B LAT in Side B, with traditional yellow/black RCA Victor labels of the period, with big “RCA Victor” and rounded “RCA” logo at top. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND!!!
“Elvis’ Golden Records” is a compilation album originally released in March 1958 and we had to wait a very long time to see this album, because we got it released here in Chile in 1966 (even though it’s a bit rare that a so successful album by Elvis Presley was released in Chile so late, especially considering he was very popular in Chile late ‘50’s and early ‘60’s, but it’s not registered an earlier version) and, like usual in the period, we got it with an UNIQUE COVER, made of single piece of thick paper or thin cardboard folded in the middle, with two sheets of paper attached to the cardboard, partially glued in the mouth edge, for front and back covers, and kept all together by a plastic bag. Front cover keeps strictly the original US artwork with a slightly different design, the picture of Elvis Presley and the gold records, with album title written in English only, with the double boxed RCA Victor Records logo at top right corner and a red strip at bottom edge, with catalog number at bottom left corner. Back cover is totally different, with album title written in English only and song titles written in Spanish only, without any credit and with sides identified as “Lado 1” and “Lado 2” (in English, “Side 1” and “Side 2”, but in labels they are only “A” and “B”), with the identification of the 5 songs with accompaniment by The Jordanaires, with a brief review about the record and two extra reviews about how to take care of the record and the quality of this “New Ortophonic” High Fidelity recording, with catalog number at top right corner. In labels, the album title is written in English only and tracklist is written in Spanish only, with full credits for songwriters and for accompaniment of The Jordanaires in some songs, with additional information about the films where the songs were taken from when applicable and the patent number, “Gruve-Gard pat. n° 16034 de 14 octubre 1958”. So, here you have the chance to get and own this so classic Rock ‘N’ Roll album by Elvis Presley in this MEGARARE CHILEAN SECOND PRESS, with UNIQUE COVER, UNIQUE BACK COVER DESIGN and Spanish-written song titles, a record almost never seen and maybe auctioned here in eBay by the very first time, A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of early Rock ‘N’ Roll music of late ‘50’s and especially for all fans, lovers and collectors of Elvis Presley and The Jordanaires!!!
The cover was already described and it’s in nice VG- or even VG condition the front cover, clear and clean, with some wear in all edges, more evident in the mouth edge and corners, with little parts already “disappeared” at top left corner and bottom left edge, with faint creases ad some discoloration, and in VG+ or even EX- condition the back cover, with some wear in all edges, more evident in corners, with faint creases and minimal stains and blemishes, with evident age browning and the names of 2 persons (in English, “Julio and Alda”) written at top left corner. The record is in G+ or even VG- condition both sides, glossy and clean, with loads and loads and loads of scuffs, light and not so light hairlines and soft and not so soft scratches of all sizes and in all directions, which amazingly don’t affect play at all. Labels on both sides are in EX or even EX+ condition, clean and clear, with some spindle hole wear and the same names written in Side B. The sound is in strong VG or even VG+ condition, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with constant soft crackles and occasional light and in parts not so light clicks, which could cause some distraction, but the sound keeps loud and clear from the beginning to end. Overall, this is a great record in this MEGARARE Chilean second press, with UNIQUE COVER and UNIQUE BACK COVER DESIGN, with Spanish-written song titles, for sure not for Minty minds or audiophiles, but with still a nice cover and a record maybe not with the best look, but with almost immaculate labels and still a very decent and respectable sound quality after about 58 years, which shouldn’t disappoint anyone and should satisfy any serious collector who knows the real level of rarity of this Chilean issue!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!
Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

_______________________________________
We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.
MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.
NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK
We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
