I have been researching the item I have for sale here for quite some time, yet cannot find another one exactly like it to compare it to. Although I have found many presumably original releases of this album listed for sale here on Ebay, the formatting on the actual record label does not match the slab of vinyl I have sitting here in front of me. While those I have found listed as First Pressings have the "New Orthophonic" High Fidelity designation placed underneath the side numbers on their respective labels, the one I have here has the designation placed squarely underneath the dog and victorola. The images I have provided will show such. I am in no way an expert on Elvis memorabilia, so I will leave it up to you to decide if this is a true rarity or not. The Elvis' Golden Record lettering is indeed in blue, although it appears that my camera may have not captured it very well. There is no RE to be found anywhere, which leads me to believe this is a First Pressing. The cover is really nice, bright and clean. No actual ringwear present, nor does it appear discolored. It also is not split. The vinyl is also very clean with only a few very light scratches present. Nothing drastic and most likely barely played. The labels do show a few spindle marks, but again nothing crazy. No writing present anywhere. The inner sleeve appears to be made of something similar to wax paper. It is quite wrinkled and split in spot, but then again what can you expect for something that has most likely been around since 1958. Again, being as I'm not quite sure what this is worth, I'm going to start this beauty out at just $19.99. Winning bidder to pay an additional $4.00 to cover shipping costs.
