ELVIS PRESLEY “Christmas Album” orig Canadian GateFold cover with BOOKLET!!

1957/Cdn/RCA LOC-1035….. here’s a rare original Canadian pressing  of this rare lp. This is an original USA gatefold cover with the booklet of pictures stapled inside. Some of these USA covers were imported to Canada and a special pressing with this unique label were pressed. When I found this record the cover was in the loose original bag . The thick gatefold cover is in strong Ex to M- condition, the tape that is around the spine has loosened on the back of the cover and caqn easily be glued down but you can do that, otherwise the cover is very clean with virtually no wear, the inner booklet is complete and undamaged with a touch of foxing on the odd white spot, there is a small X in pencil beside Side 2 on the inside of the cover, it appears the X transferred a bit of blue color from the other side of the page, you can see a very light blue X  in the white area on the third black and white page, very minor, otherwise there are no rips, or other issues. This has been in storage in a basement for 35+ years so does have a bit of an musty old smell but not offensive at all. The cover is gorgeous as well as the booklet. The vinyl is in VG condition with light scuffs/scratches, play wear, especially side two, and light sleeve impressions from the poly inner sleeve. The record plays with light noise throughout. Side one begins with moderate crackle and disappears quickly as the music starts, for all of the Rockin’ tracks on this side the noise is buried in the background and the fidelity is very good on this deep groove pressing, track 4 on side one “I’ll be Home For Christmas” has a bit of light groove damage that causes the music to be muted as the need passes but does not skip, otherwise the side plays with mainly light occasional crackle. Side two does not seem to play as well as there are no rockin tracks on this side, the side plays with light crackle pretty much through but not offensive, there is has a bit of light groove damage on a couple of tracks that cause the music to be muted for a revolution as the needle passes but does not skip, there are no loud pops, clicks, skips, or sticks. The label on side one has a few spindle marks and light scratches, the label on side two has only one very light small spindle mark. Side two label has a piece of scotch tape. clean and only have a couple of light spindle marks on one side. A very rare Canadian version of this record! MINT: as stated with no defects

M- OR NEAR MINT: as stated near Mint!, or Mint Minus, same thing, very clean with no defect to sound or visual appearance, one scuff or mark may be permitted but it will be mentioned in the description, a near Mint record looks and plays very clean

EXCELLENT: not much below near Mint, may have a delete hole and/or a minor defect or two not visually detracting from the cover, the vinyl will appear shiny and in clean condition with very minor defects not affecting the sound, still very clean and very collectable!

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal cover wear and/or delete/splits, still visually appealing, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much

VG+ a little more cover/ring wear and delete, splits etc., the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects, both cover and vinyl no matter the condition, I also play grade the records on high end equipment and will give an honest play grade as well as visual grade, considering the number of records I buy on line my grading is very conservative and fair.
