ELVIS PRESLEY By Request Of Japanese Fans (Rare 1980 Japanese-only 50-track 4-LP vinyl box set, complete with an illustrated 24-page deluxe booklet including detailed chronology & lyrics. The box has a painting of an overwhelmed and weeping Elvis by artist Akira Yokoyama & a facsimile signature on the reverse, complete with the original obi-strip. The box shows some signs of wear along the edges and slight ring wear, almost all on back panel; all records appear barely played, if played at all.

(a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL AS STRONG NEAR MINT. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)          The records come in their original, custom (all-black) poly-lined inner sleeves, which are UNIQUE to this box set.

(c)           The album comes with the original 24-page booklet included

(d)          The album comes with original Japanese OBI strip/ribbon

(e)           The box comes with original styrofoam padding (sheet)

(f)            The records are pressed on a RELATIVELY  thick, inflexible vinyl. This is NOT a thin, flimsy ('dynaflex' type),  vinyl, but not the thickest, most rigid vinyl either.

(g)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

THE COVER IS NICE --- ABOUT EXCELLENT OR VERY GOOD++ (VG++).

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-        Visible shelf wear noted on the bottom seam

-        Minor shelf wear noted on the top seam and spine.

-        Cover has two corners slightly worn / dinged  (nothing significant)

-        Cover has some light ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 1   (front side) and 3 (back side)

-        Cover shows some light yellowing on both sides, apparently from aging (nothing significant).

-        Back cover has circular tarnish (grayish, dust-covered sections, which closely follow the contour of the record),  probably caused by friction or by rubbing against other covers during the storage. The tarnish is similar in appearance to a common ring wear, but, UNLIKE ring wear, these grayish areas may be possible to clean up with a minor effort and with a right cleansing solution.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents
