You are bidding on a very hard to come by USA D.I.R. Broadcasting Corp. Radio Promotional Only, Live 3-sided, 2 x LP set. This was for broadcast across the King Biscuit Flower Hour Network of USA Radio Stations on the week of 19th October 1980. The original broadcast was earlier in that year shortly after the individual shows were recorded.

Details of record contents are as follows:

The Elvis Costello & The Attractions section is taken from a gig recorded at the Hope and Anchor Pub in London on 14th May 1980.  This gig features Martin Belmont, of Graham Parker and the Rumour, on guitar instead of Steve Nieve on keyboards, who had apparently been involved in an accident and couldn't play. So, this has a different sound to the usual Attractions line up.

The DEVO element was taken from a gig recorded at the Warfield Theatre, San Francisco on 16th August 1980.

As you will see from photo number 1, Side A is on one LP and Side B is on the other LP and Side C is on the reverse of the LP containing Side A.  This is to allow the DJ playing the album on two decks for easier continuity. So, the DJ could have Side A and Side B both lined up to play with no flipping of the record needed.

Record Condition:

Both records have retained a glossy sheen and looks in really good shape.  There are only minor surface marks from what appears to be due to the record being removed and inserted from/to the inner sleeve apart from what could either be some kind of minor scuff or residue on the last track on side B on the DEVO - Gates Of Steel track. I have tried to show this in one of the photos. I have cleaned the records but a deeper clean may help improve the scuff/residue more so.

On playback there are the odd, minor crackles or pops at quieter parts but where the above mentioned scuff is on the DEVO track the interference is more noticeable.  However, the records do not jump or stick anywhere.

Sleeves:

D.I.R. King Biscuit records come in plain white inner sleeves and a die-cut plain, white card outer sleeve. The outer sleeve of this one has got the Artist/Title details written on it in felt pen, presumably by a dealer who had it on display? See photo.

Please note that I have put the records in anti-static inner sleeves but the original plain paper inner sleeves are also present.
