Description

This is a really super gold presentation disc awarded for one million sales of the classic 1972 Elton John long playing record 'Don't Shoot Me - I'm Only The Piano Player'.

This disc was presented to the one-time musician and respected rock journalist / author Tim Riley who wrote among others - Tell Me Why about the Beatles. I'm not sure if he had a hand in playing on this recording - I'm not an Elton John expert - but it is a really lovely item and not one of those tacky modern presentation discs. This was part of a rock memorabilia sale at Sotherby's London in around 1988 and still bears the sale tag on the reverse. Glazed & framed and looking for a wall to be hung on.

Buyer pays £10 insured parcel delivery within the UK - overseas could be a lot higher as I would need to pack it quite heavilly and it may go over the 2KG small packet limit. Expect around £25 maximum.
