This limited edition first pressing plays to a superb standard with no obvious interference at all, the clarity and depth of the audio is stunning. Please see below for a full audio grading that explains everything! The louder tracks plays with tremendous power and definition and the quieter ones with a warmth and clarity that could not be any more impressive. This is a stunning album!
The 6 panel cover is also in lovely condition with very little wear and has kept its original shape and structure perfectly.

Visual description
The yellow vinyls are visually stunning and still have a lovely glossy look. Under a bright light I can only see a small number of faint hairlines and there are no marks or scratches. The yellow labels are very clean with only a little spindle wear.
Play grading
The quiet intro on 'Funeral For A Friend' has only a small number of very quiet ticks and minimal light static and overall plays very clearly indeed. As the music comes there is barely any static and as the volume increases the audio is superb! The following piano section plays beautifully with no intrusion and the next instrumental piece is flawless. The clarity, depth and power of the audio here is phenomenal! The intro is Ex and from then on has to grade as Mint- at the very least.
'Love Lies Bleeding' plays with sensational quality from the get go. Every vocal and chorus play so clearly and from start to finish there is no interference. Even the quiet piano section is perfect. A Mint version in every way. Stunning!
The classic 'Candle In The Wind' has only the bare minimum of light static on the intro (you barely hear it) and Elton's opening vocal plays perfectly. The chorus is just as impressive and it continues in exactly the same way. The clarity and warmth cannot be underestimated, it really is a stunning version, I cannot praise it highly enough. Mint- is a fair assessment of the audio.
'Bennie And The Jets' plays with exceptional quality with no sign of any background. No ticks, clicks, pops or static it just could not play any better and Mint is 100% deserved.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The gentle piano intro on 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' is faultless and the opening vocal is just as strong. There is one light tick in the next vocal passage and then the first chorus plays perfectly. From then on it plays so clearly with no intrusion just one very light static. The clarity throughout is so impressive and aside from that one light tick it is as close to perfect as is possible. A superb Near Mint version of this all time classic.
The quiet build intro on 'This Song Has No Title' is perfect and opening two verses have only a couple of very minor background statics, hardly worth a mention. The first chorus is 'as new' and this standard is maintained to the very end. This has to grade as Mint-
The intro on 'Grey Seal' has no background whatsoever and the first verse is equal to that. In fact every vocal and instrumental section plays with incredible quality with not so much as a dust tick. Unrivalled clarity, depth and power this is Mint all day long.
'Jamaica Jerk-off' plays with exceptional quality and... no interference. No need to say anymore. Mint
The piano intro on 'I've Seen That Movie Too' plays with perfect clarity and the opening vocal has no background either. From then on it plays with impeccable sonic quality and there is nothing that intrudes on the audio. It may be that I am repeating myself a little now (!) but I just cannot fault the audio here. The 'orchestral' section is a case in point - it plays with sublime quality and no interference and the final vocal is just as good. A stunning Mint version. Another one!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Sweet Painted Lady' plays with genuine quality and no interference. All I noticed were a handful of mega quiet statics that are in no way intrusive and a little static on the fade out. Let's say Mint-
The intro and opening vocal on 'The Ballad Of Danny Bailey' has only the bare minimum of light static and the first chorus is perfect. The next verse has one light tick but hardly any static and thereafter plays so clearly with no intrusion. The end instrumental is superb! One light click but that's right at the end of the fade out. Near Mint-
'Dirty Little Girl' plays with stunning precision through every section and then 'All The Girls Love Alice' ends the side with near perfect audio. There is just a touch of very light static on the intro but so quiet you hardly notice it. The quieter verses play with great clarity and overall this track plays with high grade definition and zero intrusion. These two tracks grade as Mint and Mint- respectively.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The intro on 'Your Sister Can't Twist...' and 'Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting' begin S4 in fine style with a clarity and power that is on another level. No interference and no distortion both grade as Mint I cannot find one negative.
The quieter 'Roy Rogers' plays beautifully and again you cannot fault the clarity on offer here. Mint
The intro on 'Social Disease' has a couple of light ticks and then the opening vocal plays so clearly with hardly any static. As the volume increase the playback is perfect and it does not let up as it continues. The power and depth of the audio is so impressive and there is no distortion on the top end. An Ex- intro but Mint from then onwards.
'Harmony' ends this classic album with exceptional clarity and no intrusion. A couple of mega quiet statics at most I will grade as Mint- but even then the minus may be a little harsh!
In summary this double album plays to a fantastic standard with barely any intrusion. There is just one light click at the end of a fade out, a small number of insignificant statics and the bare minimum of mega light static. The clarity, depth, power and warmth of the audio really is first class and in conjunction with a superb cover this will add to any high end collection.
The 6 Panel Gatefold & Inner Sleeves
The 6 panel cover is in superb condition with very little wear and there is certainly nothing that stands out. The top and bottom edges have only a handful of minor 'rubs' and the wide spine has only minimal wear on the top corner. The top corner of the right hand spine has only light rubbing also, all other corners are extremely clean. The front cover is more or less pristine with only a couple of barely visible corner creases and the back cover is just as impressive with only a couple of minor corner rubs. The inside panels are in lovely condition with no marking, a stunning example overall and one that has hardly ever been handled.
I'm not sure if they are original but the plain black poly-lined inners are in great shape with only minimal creasing.

Postage & Packaging
I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping. This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage. The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered. Any over-payment will always be refunded.
The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD). An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known. Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing. Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Many thanks.
All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection. They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection. I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.
The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each. There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up! Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
