ELTON JOHN - GOODBYE YELLOW BRICK ROAD 1999 Pressing on Speakers Corner Records Cat No. DJM DJLPD 1001
Sought-after pressing on this great German label which is renowned for pure analogue, audiophile reissues on 180 gram virgin vinyl. The label doesn't print barcodes on their sleeves, and neither do they utilise their own catalogue numbers, as they want to make the record as close to the original as possible (though it should be noted that the outer cover is a single, side-opening sleeve and not a tri-fold or gatefold).
VINYL A very nice copy which doesn't appear to have been played many times. Other than some very fine wispy marks caused by removal from the inners, there are no apparent blemishes in the vinyl surface. Labels are clean.
On test, a short series of faint ticks could be heard at the start of both side 1 and side 2, but I didn't notice any other issues. Obviously you will not get a true representation of the audio quality from this, but I can confirm it is a great-sounding pressing. Conservatively graded as EX.

SLEEVE The outer cover is generally very presentable with some minor creasing at the edges, a slight "nick" on the bottom edge (see close-up photo) and a few small indentations which are only visible at a certain angle to the light. There is no hype sticker or shrink still present. Graded VG+.
The album will be packed very carefully and securely in sturdy packaging to ensure it reaches you safely. The discs will be separated from the outer sleeve for transit to prevent any possibility of seam splits. You will see many favourable comments about the quality of our packaging in our previous feedback.
