This is the UK ORIGINAL of ‘Empty Sky' by Elton John. This early press is complete with the very earliest translucent red vinyl, when held to the light and the label has the wide rim around the outside. The vinyl is complete with the original inner sleeve and EJ Day gatefold textured sleeve.
The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl is superb, extremely glossy, with the original deep clear grooves. There are one or two very light wispy marks but these have little affect on play. The label is jet black with bright yellow text and just the slightest spindle wear.
The record sits completely flat on the turntable and when played the sound quality is Excellent. There is sensational audio separation and it plays exceptionally clear from start to finish. There are tiny brief moments of a background noise, largely just static, but this is brief and rarely noticeable.
The original textured sleeve is in Very Good condition. The picture is entirely unworn and the purple is extremely bright. There is the slightest corner and edge wear. The inside is superb. The back corner of the sleeve has some wear in the top corner and a replacement DJM 22086 sticker. The whole sleeve is very solid and the spine is firm with clear text. 586 (GS 6.8 (586))
