This is the rare UK 1st press of ‘Don’t Shoot Me’ by Elton John. This earliest press is complete with the very earliest and true 1st A2/B2 matrix, with Agong and Bang! hand engraved in the run-out on both sides. The vinyl is complete with the inner booklet, the 1st press plain inner sleeve and laminated Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold sleeve.
The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl is extremely glossy, every track still has the original jet black shine and there is no sign of heavy play at all. There are just a couple of wispy light marks on both sides. The label is bold and completely clean. The black is solid, the silver text is sharp and there is only the slightest spindle wear.
The booklet is in Near Mint condition.
The record sits completely flat on the turntable and when played the sound quality is Excellent. The vinyl plays through exceptionally clear and bright. Very rich, bold sound from start to finish.
The 1st press Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold sleeve is in Excellent condition. The image is superb, the colours are vivid and it is sharp and completely unworn. The edges are extremely firm, there are just a few little laminate creases and slight corner wear. The inside is perfect and the spine is firm with clear, sharp text. 625 (GS 6.9.7 (625))
